ê Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program

It is basically a protective and rehabilitative program. The program works to rehabilitate     the blind to mix them to the main stream in the society. The people of program area are surveyed to categorize the nature of problem. If the problem is curable, then the patients are sent to the hospital for their proper treatment. But if the problem is identified as incurable they are selected as Visually Impaired (VI). After that, they are given different types of training to solve their daily problem. At the same time, they are linked with government and other social welfare organization to rehabilitate them economically.

In the society most of the visual Impairment (VI)  is the result of our ignorance, negligence, accidents etc. Through CBR program, people are making  aware to protect VIs and make them sympathized to the VIs discussing with people through Family Counseling, Community Meeting, Awareness Workshop, Sensitization Workshop etc.

The visually Impaired people are treated as the liability though they can act as normal people and the society is apathetic to give their right as normal people. CBR works for VIs to achieve their fundamental right in the society.
